Hi, I'm Ned Baker


My name is Ned. Iā€™m a qualified Exercise Scientist, Advanced Gymnastics Coach, Strength Coach and Acro Coach.


My background is gymnastics. I was a gymnast throughout my childhood and as soon as I stopped competing, I began coaching which I've been doing for nearly a decade. During my coaching career, I noticed kids were getting injured. I saw it at many clubs and the worst part was, these injuries were easily preventable. All they needed was a good strength and flexibility program. That's when I came up with this idea. I created Teen Strength Academy so kids and teens can go into any sport, any activity and not have to worry about injuries.


But really it's about much more than that. Kids and teenagers more than anyone need to know how to train properly. If you go to any commercial gym, it will be filled with kids not knowing what they're doing. I want to change this. I believe all young people can become strong, flexible, fast, powerful and overall more confident. That's what I'm here to do.


But why me? Why just listen to some gymnastics coach? Well I'm also an Exercise Scientist. While I was coaching, I studied with some of the greatest minds in strength training including Keegan Smith and Ben Patrick and did a 3 year degree in Sport and Exercise Science. I also spend every day learning and putting into practice my knowledge. My favourite saying is 'Never stop learning' and that's something I truly believe in. As I continue to learn, I will then teach that to others.
